Savanna Holekamp

Not long ago my announced the arrival of their second baby. I was so excited about Camryn and Baby Holekamp would be so close in age. As the months went by and we began talking about the baby and what we thought it would be. I was secrectly wishing for a boy. On Feb. 3, I picked up Kayleigh and brought her to my house to plauy with Nonnor(aka Connor) and the Baby (aka Camryn). Brandy had a doctor's appointment to find out the sex of the baby. We waited for what seemed like forever. There was a knock at my door. There was my sister and her husband with very sad facial expressions. Brandy asked me to please pray for her baby that something was wrong. The Doctor told them that they would see a specialist the very next day. Thursday, Feb. 4 Brandy and Wesley found out that the baby would not make it. They decided to carry the baby until the Lord was ready to take it. Brandy told me that she was at peace knowing where her baby was going. The next 3 weeks for horrible for me. I needed to do something for Brandy. What? I had no idea. I could see that she was hurting but nobody could take that pain from her. On Feb. 24 there was not a heartbeat at the ultrasound. Brandy was admitted to the hospital the next morning to begin labor and delivery. I sat with her for awhile on Thursday. She was in such good spirits. She had a few moments but her faith jsut amazed me. At 1:30am, Friday morning Savanna was born. Although she was already in heaven, Brandy did get to hold her.
I never met Savanna but in my heart she is the most beautiful baby girl. She is in heaven playing and waiting to meet us all. Connor recently asked me if Jesus would let Savanna come back. It was so hard telling him no but that one day we would see her and he could be the favorite cousin.

I love my niece and can't wait to meet her one day.

I also write this because I am so proud fo my sister. She is such an amazing lady. She has allowed God to lead her through this time and has accepted his help in getting through it. I love you Brandy!
