Giving
Over the weekend, my father in law had triple bypass surgery. Chris explained to Connor that Pop's heart was hurt and the doctor was going to fix it. So Friday I stayed with the kids while Chris was at the hospital. We decided that Daddy needed lunch, so mom and I loaded up the kids and headed towards Conroe. As we were heading in Connor annouces that he wants to go the bookstore to get dinosaur books. I stpped at Kohl's to get Camryn a shirt and Connor bought me a musical card that he knew Pop's needed to go with the dinosaur book he was going to get him. So I bought the card, and a dinosaur book at the book store. Connor was so excited to give this to Pops. Saturday as Chris was leaving for the hospital, Connor gave Chris an envelope for Pop's. He had made Pops a card and given him a pen.
As I watched my son do this in excitement, it made me think. Chris and I have talked about giving to other people but we had never really "taught" it. I was amazed how Connor did this all on his own without help from us. I was so proud! Connor will give anyhthing to anybody if he thinks that it will make them smile.

The Weekend We had Three
This past weekend(Oct.7-10) we had my niece Kayleigh while my sister and brother-in-law were out of town for a wedding. It was a very interesting few days. Kayleigh loved being at Connor and Beam Beam's house. We spent lots of time playing babies with the girls. Since Connor has soccer Friday night and Saturday, he spent a lot of time with Dad. Chris and I got a kick out of the fighting between the girls. We even managed to take all three kids to the Carnival at Connor's school. Kayleigh loved the fact that she could hand somebody tickets, skip the game and take a handful of "LELE" (candy). Overall the weekend was fun and very tiring for the parents.
